Thank you so much for considering me as your officiant. I am a pastor by trade, and would love the opportunity to work with you to make your wedding day the most romantic and most fun days of your lives.

Getting Started & FAQ’s

How do we get started?

You call me or send me an email with your date and if I have that date free, we’ll set up a time to meet. If you are out of town, we can meet on the phone. This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other. At that point you can decide if you want me to be the officiant at your ceremony. If you choose to use my services I’ll send you your wedding homework and you will send me a $100 deposit to reserve the date on my calendar. Please make your deposit check out to Canyon Springs Church. Over 15% of my wedding business goes to help my family’s work throughout the world in Haiti, Belize, the Dominican Republic.  Your $100 deposit helps make those trips possible and is tax deductible! See my “Why I Do What I Do” page for more information about our outreach to Haiti.

How much do you charge?

$800 is the fee for a personalized wedding. $100 more if I need to travel out of San Diego County. That fee includes an original wedding ceremony written specially for you and pre-marital counseling. If you still want a fun officiant who will connect with your audience but you don’t want me to tell your story I only charge $600. A $100 deposit is due to book the date. As stated above, Please make your deposit check out to Canyon Springs Church. The balance is paid at the wedding before the ceremony.

If you are planning a ceremony last minute (Monday-Thursday) I am happy to help you! Call me up and we can pick a great location in San Diego for your perfect wedding. Last minute ceremonies do not include telling your history and cost $500.

I offer a 10% discount for military couples.

To create a personally designed ceremony I get some basic information from you and then I start your wedding by telling your history of how you met, how you got engaged and what you like about each other. If you read my reviews you will notice that this is the highlight of almost every ceremony I do. My ceremonies are personally written and designed for each couple. No two ceremonies are the same. I promise you I will do a great job.  To get an idea of what a personalized ceremony looks like see my “Movies” page.

Do you come to the rehearsal dinner?

Typically I don’t need to come to the rehearsal. Wedding coordinators run the show and I just get in the way. We will have met by this time and you will have an outline of my part. The rehearsal is mainly for the people walking in to know where to stand. If you need me to be at or run the rehearsal, this can be arranged for an extra fee of $200.

How long is a wedding on average?

20-25 minutes is the basic time once it gets started. If we add extras like readings, songs, unity candles, etc. it takes longer, but never over 30 minutes.
